Parenting Classes

Family and Children’s Services provides a variety of programs designed to help parents tackle the challenges of raising children in today's world.
Please contact our main office at 908.352.7474 for more information on any of the following offerings:

Parenting Skills Education Program - All parents try to do their best - but the best of intentions don’t always produce the desired result. Our Parenting Skills Education Program consists of twelve weekly parent skills development classes and is a guide for parents of children of all ages, to help children develop self-discipline, responsibility, cooperation and problem-solving skills.

Anger Management Program - Anger is a normal human emotion, but when it gets out of control and turns destructive, it can lead to problems — problems in the workplace, in personal relationships and in an individual’s quality of life. It’s not always possible to avoid situations and people that cause anger, but learning how to control our reactions is possible. Group participants are helped to understand and manage their feelings of anger. This program offers 12 weekly evening group sessions for adults 18 years or older.

Currently services are limited to clients referred by DCP&P and or the court system.
